John Prine Update

Saga of John Prine is all about music, song writing and acting. John Prine has contributed in country music along with folk and progressive blue grass music; he is a brilliant guitarist and song writer. His work is a milestone in the American songwriting and his songs are leading light in the gamut of musical stars like Johnny Cash, Bonnie Raitt and George Strait.

He started his career in 1972 and produced high class albums in 70’s which gave a boom to his career. The most eminent albums are Diamonds In The Rough, Fair and Square, Great Days: The John Prine Anthology and Pink Cadillac. In 1998 he was diagnosed with throat cancer and under went a surgery. He got a life time achievement award for song writing in 2003 but he continued with his never ending love for music and produced two albums namely: “Fair and Square” in 2005 and “Rhino Hi-Five: John Prine” in 2007.

It’s been nearly four decades that John Prine is busy making records with his high quality writing. He is original troubadour, who entertains with his arrays of songs which have comedy numbers, blues, and spun at politics and perfect country-folk ballads. He has a whole package of entertainment for the audience at any concert. His songs like “Blue Eyed Elaine”, “Pistol Packing’ Mama” and Old Cape Cod” are inspirational which softly give a boost to the soul and reminds the listener that life is to live to the fullest.
