Frank Caliendo Background Information

American Comedian Frank Caliendo was born on January 19, 1974 in Chicago, Illinois. He was raised in Waukesha, Wisconsin. After graduating from college, he performed in stand-up comedies and took jobs at a local comedy club. People began to notice him in a year, and he made headlines. He got his network series debut in the comedy series Hype. He also performed as a stand-up comic in Premium Blend, The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn, The View, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.

Caliendo is known for his impersonations on FOX's series MADtv. He is also the prognosticator for FOX NFL Sunday. Caliendo is famous for his impersonations of George W. Bush and John Madden. He appeared in Comedy Central Presents. He also appeared on many radio shows such as The Bob and Tom Show, Mike and Mike in the Morning, and The Junkies. Caliendo presently has his own show, Frank TV, which aired on TBS starting November 2007. In the show, he performs sketches wearing full makeup according to the character he is impersonating. They received good ratings for the show's first five episodes.

In 2001 and 2002, Caliendo appeared as a guested to Jimmy Kimmel on FOX NFL Sunday, where he often impersonated announcer John Madden. In 2003, Kimmel left the show and Caliendo was asked to replace him, which he did. He became prognosticator for the show, and he gave predictions for the NFL games for the day. He did this through a one-man skit showing his famous impersonations. On the first week of the 2006 NFL season, Caliendo impersonated James Brown, who was with The NFL Today on CBS at the time. Caliendo is also known for his impersonation of Terry Bradshaw, a cast member of the FOX NFL Sunday. In 2007, he appeared in the movie The Comebacks, playing John Madden in the championship game. Caliendo has done more than a hundred impersonations in his career.
