Brief History of the Casino Arizona 150

United States of America has always been proud of its National sports. One of these sports, that has a strong local fan base and has very high television ratings, is Car racing. Casino Arizona 150 is a part of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. NASCAR manages and owns three racing series; NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is one of these series. Modified pickup trucks are used, in this series, to compete with each other. This race is watched, with considerable amount of interest, by Car racing fanatics.

Casino Arizona 150 is a 150-mile truck race. The venue for this race is Phoenix International raceway. This venue is located in Phoenix, Arizona. The circuit has a one-mile layout; therefore, it requires 150 laps to complete the race. The shape of the circuit is oval. Drivers consider the circuit to be of a unique shape and this adds to difficulty level of this track because of its uniqueness and its peculiar characteristics. This makes the race very interesting for drivers and fans alike. It is sponsored by Casino Arizona and has quite handsome prize money.

Casino Arizona 150 was held in 1995, for the first time. Mike Skinner won the first ever Casino Arizona 150 car race. He was able to repeat this feat in next year. From 1995 to 1998, the race was held two times at Phoenix every year. This was done for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. It was also the first event to be broadcast live by a local broadcast channel, FSN Arizona. It was a day race before the year 2005. After the year 2004, it became an evening race, thereby, attracting more people. Kyle Busch is the current champion of Casino Arizona 150. This race is held in the latter stages of the season and in November.
