The Tropicana 400 is the old name of the present USG Sheetrock 400 race. It is a NASCAR Nextel Cup stock car race. It usually takes place at the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois, which is a very modern speedway. Its present seating capacity is 75 thousand people. Beginning from its first season in 2001, the Chicagoland speedway became a real competitor for such events as NASCAR (the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) and IRL (the Indy Racing League) races. Being a teenager he won 3 short track races. In 1989 he was awarded with the USAC Midget Car Racing Rookie of the Year title. When he was only twenty years old he became the youngest racer to win the USAC Silver Crown Title. In 1993 he won another the Rookie of the Year title.

Kevin Harvick also became a four-time Winston championship winner (in 1995, 1997, 1998, and 2001). In 1998 he was named one of the NASCARs (the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) Fifty Greatest Drivers.
