The Cheetah Girls

Originating from a Disney movie in 2003, the Cheetah Girls have swept the nation selling out venues all over the country. In 2007 The Cheetah girls plan to release their newest and 4th studio album this coming January after the end of The Partys Just Begun tour. Rumored to be on this album is a cover of Cindy Laupers Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

Members of the group are Sabrina Bryan, Adrienne Bailon and Keily Williams. Their music consists of Pop, R&B and dance. Raven-Symone is a featured part of the group for their movies only. Her character in The Cheetah Girls movie is Galleria. Raven-Symones character is cast as the lead singer in 2 of The Cheetah Girls hit movies.

Possible rumored reasons that Raven-Symone is not joining in with the group are that her and fellow member were not getting along very well. In M magazine, Raven-Symone confirmed these rumors stating, "Yes. It's true that we didn't get along. There were lots of catfights behind the scenes and things that people just don't see. They think that we all get along but we just don't." In a later interview with Adrienne, Sabria and Kiely, the rumors were denied: "We really didn't know what they were talking about because we're best friends. We choose to work together and so we even asked Raven and she said that she never even said that so, I mean I don't know." No one is really sure what happened but what is confirmed is that Raven-Symone will not be touring with The Cheetah Girls.

Future projects for The Cheetah Girls are part 3 of the movie series as well as their new album in 2007. This news was mentioned in Disney Insider Magazine in an interview with Keily Williams . Questions in the interview included what the title of the movie will be. Possible titles for the film are The Cheetah Girls Down Under, which will feature the group in Australia or The Cheetah Girls Safari where the Cheetah Girls will be in Africa. Requested by Adrienne Bailon was that a movie be filmed in Puerto Rico, her place of birth. It is said that if The Cheetah Girls 3 is a hit, there will be further filming of the series.

Albums that The Cheetah Girls have released are The Cheetah Girls in 2003, Cheetah-licious Christmas in 2005, and The Cheetah Girls 2 in 2006. Theyve also been featured on compilations such as Disney Mania Vol 3, Disney Remix Mania, the Chicken Little soundtrack all in 2005. 2006 brought DisneyMania Vol. 4 which featured the hit single If I Ever Knew You

Teaming up with The Cheetah Girls for the remainder of their tour is Vanesa Hudgens (another Disney act) from October 15th until November 15th at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, MN. They will be picking up Aly and AJ in Newark, NJ at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. These two will be opening up each show until the end of the tour with the last date being at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ.
