About Brad Paisley

Born on October 28, 1972, Brad Paisley is not only a country music singer, but also a professional guitarist and a songwriter from West Virginia. Once he confessed that his love for country music stems from his grandfather, who gave Brad the first guitar lessons, when the boy was only 8 years old. Aged 12, the boy wrote his first song and a year later, he was the opening act for some well-known American country singers such as Ricky Skaggs and George Jones.

While studying in college, Brad Paisley met Frank Rogers, who later became his producer, and Kelley Lovelace, his future songwriting partner. After his graduation from Belmont, Brad signed a deal with EMI recording company. Shortly thereafter, he wrote a top five hit, "Another You". He debuted as a singer with "Who Needs Pictures" in February of 1999, which later became platinum. Three months later, he first appeared on the Grand Ole Opry show. The following year he released his first #1 hit "He Didn't Have To Be", which told the story of Lovelace and Lovelace's son.

A year later, he was nominated for Grammy Award for the first time. In February 2001, after having appeared forty times on the Grand Ole Opry show, he was inducted into the Opry Hall of Fame.

The following year he became the winner of the CMA Music Video of the Year Award for "I'm Gonna Miss Her". Several celebrities appeared in the video, including Dan Patrick, Little Jimmy Dickens, Kimberly Williams, and Jerry Springer.

Mud on the Tires, Brad’s third album, was released in 2003. It featured the hits "Celebrity" and "Mud on the Tires", the latter reached Billboard #1 in 2004.
