Who would of thought we would see the day that Brett Favre would no longer be a Green Bay Packer. Well that day is today, as it has been reported that Favre was traded to the New York Jets for a conditional draft pick. Favre spent 16 seasons in Green Bay and announced his retirement at the end of last year’s season. But when it was reported in early July that he was looking to come out of retirement it caused quite a stir. The Packers had decided that it was now the Aaron Rodgers era in Green Bay and that led to a messy situation with the team and fans regarding Brett Favre’s future. While Brett Favre recently reported to Packers training camp only to leave a few hours later, it was evident that he would not be playing for Green Bay this year. Although the trade has many terms and conditions, both parties feel this was the best solution to a dramatic problem. Both Packers and Jets fans will be excitied to see how things turn out this season which is why we will surely see a boost in both team’s ticket sales. While Packers tickets have always been hard to score, the trade should make Jets tickets some of the hardest to get in the NFL due to this turn of events.
