Internationally renowned recording artist Sade announced this week that she would be setting out on her first world tour in over a decade. This year, the Grammy Award-winning vocalist released Solider of Love, her first album of new material in nine years. Soldier of Love reached #1 on the Billboard 200, selling 502,000 copies in its first week in stores. Sade -with long-time band mates Andrew Hale, Stuart Matthewman, and Paul Spencer Denman - will tour the United States next summer from June to August.
Sade tour tickets have already gone on sale for shows in multiple US cities, including Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. The famously reclusive pop star proved she still has what it takes to wow an audience while appearing on a number American television programs. The English R&B singer performed recently on Dancing With the Stars, Late Show with David Letterman, and Jimmy Kimmel Live. European-based Sade fans will also have an opportunity to see her in concert with eighteen 2011 shows scheduled in Europe.
