Internationally notorious for their ambitious concert ventures, the Electro DJ group known as Swedish House Mafia appears to have outdone themselves once again. Fresh off a wildly successful concert in Miami dubbed "The Masquerade Motel," Swedish House Mafia has upped the ante with their next series of shows. TEAM SHM has made it official that they will be playing shows at Madison Square Garden in New Your City and the Milton Keynes Bowl in Northeast England this year. Based on the amount of public interest the concert announcements has received in recent days, Swedish House Mafia tickets are expected to sell out quickly for both soon-to-be legendary concerts.
Founded little over three years ago, the triumvirate of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello has pushed the genre of dance music into uncharted waters. Booking a venue like Madison Square Garden is a tremendous achievement and a tell-tale sign the group is ready for the mainstream. Swedish House Mafia's rave pop anthem "Save the World" went to #1 on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart earlier this year and even cracked Billboard's Top 40 Pop Songs chart. While few details have surfaced as of yet pertaining to the group's MSG show, you can count on the Swedes to have a few surprises up their sleeves when they rock the Big Apple on December 16th.
