• Great year for tennis

It is tempting to think of this year in tennis as a two-person race. At least it seems that way on the men’s side. The saga of Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer has all but consumed the tennis world over the last few months. Earlier this month, Nadal beat an emotional Federer in the Australian Open final. But just this weekend, Nadal lost to Andy Murray in the Rotterdam Open. Nadal actually injured his knee during the match. There is going to be much stiff competition. On the women’s side, it is even muddier. Serena Williams, winner of the Australian Open, is ranked #1 worldwide right now. Runner-up Dinara Safina is in the second position. In Paris this weekend, #24 Amelie Mauresmo beat out Elena Dementieva (#4). There are clearly several top players on both the men’s and women’s sides who can really give anyone a tough time in trying to win the Sony Ericsson Open, which begins on March 25th. This is an especially exciting year and you ought to see this tournament! Get your Sony Ericsson tickets today so you can get the seat you want to the match you want!
