• The Waiting Is The Hardest Part

    There's no more arguing about who should be in what BCS bowl game; there's no more complaining that this team is more deserving or that team's schedule was far easier; the pundits' opinions are (as they have been all along) irrelevant; finally, after an intensely complicated season of college football, the BCS bowl games have been decided. The mysterious shadows in charge of the BCS rankings have put the irrevocable hammer down on their selections. We now know that it will be Florida against Oklahoma in the BCS Championship game, Penn State against USC in the Rose Bowl, Utah against Alabama in the Sugar Bowl, and Texas Tech against Ole Miss in the Cotton Bowl, just to name a few. So now the country plays the waiting game. For nearly two weeks, one of which has already passed luckily, the nation goes through a cold turkey stop of college football. But in the end, the Christmas season is made all that much better when it’s combined with two straight weeks of exhilarating postseason action.
