    Awards Ceremony

“Country Music’s Biggest Night” is almost here, and the 47th installment of the Country Music Association (CMA) Awards is sure not to disappoint. For the sixth straight year, the annual ceremony will be hosted by 2010 CMA Entertainer of the Year, Brad Paisley, and 2013 nominee Carrie Underwood, set to take place on Nov. 6 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Winners are chosen by more than 7,000 industry professional members from the Country Music Association, helping to make the honor one of the most prestigious in all of country music.

    Attending the CMA Awards 2013
Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena has been giving fans the chance to catch all their favorite artists under one roof since 2006. Since the star-studded show is televised live beginning promptly at 7 p.m. CT, all guests must arrive before 6:45 p.m. Business or formal attire is requested, so when you purchase CMA Awards tickets, be prepared to dress your best.

As far as seating at the ceremony, the talent and nominees occupy the ground level, while fans can purchase seats in the 100-300 levels. Click HERE to view the precise layout for the event.

Last year, in addition to the announcement of the winners, there were nine live performances, including Tim McGraw, Miranda Lambert, Zac Brown Band, Taylor Swift and The Band Perry, all of whom were nominated for awards as well. As of Oct. 7, the list of performers hasn’t yet been announced, but the evening has surely become known for showcasing a solid array of the year’s top artists at some point during the night.

    Notable 2013 Nominees
Of the many artists garnering multiple nominations, Taylor Swift and Kacey Musgraves led the pack with six apiece. There are 12 CMA Awards categories in all including Entertainer of the Year, Single, Album and Song of the Year, Male and Female Vocalist of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year, Vocal Duo of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, Musician of the Year, Music Video of the Year, and New Artist of the Year. Take a look at some of the notable nominees below.

    Carrie Underwood
Underwood will be busy during the show juggling hosting duties, and may also need some time to potentially take the podium on as many as three occasions, as she’s nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Music Video of the Year for “Blown Away.” Underwood is already the winner of five CMA Awards, three of which are for Female Vocalist of the Year from 2006-08.

    Kacey Musgraves
The CMA Awards nominations are the first for Musgraves, who is currently up for Female Vocalist and New Artist of the Year, as well as Album of the Year for “Same Trailer Different Park,” and Single of the Year for “Merry Go ‘Round.” Musgraves also tallied a pair of Song of the Year nominations for “Merry Go ‘Round” and for her writing credit on “Mama’s Broken Heart,” performed by Miranda Lambert.

    Taylor Swift
Like Musgraves, Swift is nominated for Female Vocalist, in addition to her third nomination for Entertainer of the Year. She previously won in 2009 and 2011. Swift’s also up for Album of the Year for “Red,” and her collaboration on Tim McGraw’s “Highway Don’t Care,” which also is nominated for Musical Event, Single, and Video of the Year.

    Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton
Miranda Lambert and husband Blake Shelton recorded five nominations each. Both Lambert and Shelton have captured the Male and Female Vocalist of the Year awards the last three years, and will look to defend those honors again this year.

Shelton’s nominations include Male Vocalist and Album of the Year for “Based on a True Story,” as well as Entertainer of the Year, which he won last year. Additionally, his “Boys ‘Round Here” video is nominated for Musical Event and Music Video of the Year.

Lambert’s nominations include Female Vocalist of the Year, as well as Music Video, Single, and Song of the Year for “Mama’s Broken Heart.”
