The Life You Want Weekend Tour

Starting in Sept. 2014, eight lucky cities across the U.S. will get the chance to spend a weekend in the company of one of America’s most influential television personalities when Oprah Winfrey’s The Life You Want Weekend begins its tour around the country. Stationed in each city for two nights, this inspirational weekend will aim to empower its attendees through the moving words of Oprah and several of her notable special guests.

Every upcoming two-day stop on The Life You Want Weekend Tour will kick off on Friday evening, when Oprah will take the stage alone for an intimate evening with fans as she shares a firsthand account of her moving life story. The next day will then kick off bright and early so attendees can take in a full eight hours of inspirational words from her roster of “Life Trailblazers,” a group of hand-selected authors and motivational speakers that have already changed the lives of thousands around the world. You can check the Oprah tour schedule in detail below to find your seats for the city in which you want to attend. Note that the Oprah Winfrey tickets you purchase in the Vivid Seats marketplace will include admission for both days in your selected city.

Although the guests are subject to change in each city, the lineup of speakers includes many powerful, uplifting personalities that have been associated with Oprah for many years. Arguably one of the most notable is Elizabeth Gilbert, author of the 2006 New York Times Best Seller Eat, Pray, Love. Gilbert has become a notable public speaker in the years since her wildly popular memoir was published, and her TED Talks on creativity and success have touched many around the world. Also appearing on The Life You Want Weekend Tour will be Oprah Winfrey Network star Iyanla Vanzant, the life coach and inspirational speaker that just wrapped the fourth season of her reality series, Iyanla: Fix My Life.

On the spiritual side, The Life You Want Weekend will feature Pastor Rob Bell, founder of the non-denominational Mars Hill Bible Church. Bell was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2011, and last year he published a new best-selling--and Oprah-endorsed--book: What We Talk About When We Talk About God. Poet Mark Nepo will bring a different spiritual perspective to the weekend. The cancer survivor has been writing for decades about finding one’s inner spiritual path, and his 2010 novel, The Book of Awakening, was featured in the final edition of Oprah’s “Favorite Things” segment in Nov. 2010.

Dr. Deepak Chopra, a long-time Oprah collaborator and proponent of alternative medicine, will also appear at most cities on the venture. Chopra is a noted advocate for meditation and yoga as crucial elements to a healthy, happy life.
