Traveling College Football Fans
Most college football fan bases likely think they are the most dedicated, but only a select few have the data to back it up. After a review of all college football orders placed during the 2014 season, we found that fans of the Stanford Cardinal did the most traveling in regards to attending away games (postseason excluded). With road clashes at Washington, Notre Dame, Arizona State, Oregon, California, and UCLA to travel to, Stanford football fans traveled an average of 441 miles over the course of the regular season.
Not far behind in terms of distance traveled were Notre Dame football fans, who logged an average of 440 miles while attending contests against Purdue (in Indianapolis), Syracuse (in East Rutherford), Florida State, Navy, Arizona State, and USC. Check out the table below for the rest of the teams making appearances in the top 20.
