For years, diehard fans have been anxiously awaiting news of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ forthcoming album—the band hasn’t released any new music since 2010’s Mojo—and confirmation finally arrived on May 20, when the band announced the 2014 release Hypnotic Eye would finally be available on July 29. Along with the exciting news, Petty also revealed that a collection of North American tour dates in support of the album will kick off just a few days after the album drops.

Outside of previously announced headlining sets at Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival (Aug. 8-10) and Lockn’ Music Festival (Sept. 4-7), Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers also is confirmed for concerts in more than 25 cities around North America for the Hypnotic Eye Tour, which is set to begin on Aug. 3 at San Diego’s Viejas Arena. According to the initial announcement, the tour is expected to extend through Oct. 10, when the band will play its first show at the newly renovated Los Angeles Forum. Steve Winwood, most famous for his solo hits “Valerie” and “Higher Love,” will join the group for all dates, including the highly anticipated headlining show at Boston’s Fenway Park, which the band had hinted at on its Instagram on May 19:

In more exciting news for rock fans, Pearl Jam also confirmed new dates for a fall U.S. tour, slated to launch on Oct. 1 from Cincinnati’s U.S. Bank Arena. The new string of concerts again supports 2013’s long-awaited release, Lightning Bolt, which, like Tom Petty’s forthcoming album, marked Pearl Jam’s first new music in four years. The 2014 stateside tour will largely visit cities that were left off the band’s trek last fall, including many Midwestern sites like St. Louis (Oct. 3), Milwaukee (Oct. 20), and Detroit (Oct. 16), a city the band has not visited in eight years. The Eddie Vedder-fronted outfit also will headline both weekends of the Austin City Limits Festival (Oct. 3-5 and 10-12) in between the remaining tour stops.

The whole venture is expected to end at Denver’s Pepsi Arena on Oct. 22. You can see the full tour dates in the Instagram video below.
