Detroit Tigers—Classic Car Show (June 8)
Partake in a Motor City tradition with the third annual Detroit Tigers Classic Car Show. On Saturday, June 8, over 100 classic cars will be set up in the heart of downtown Detroit, just outside of Comerica Park. The free show starts at noon, four hours before the Tigers take on the rival Cleveland Indians.
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim—Mike Trout Fish Hat (June 18)
On June 18, Los Angeles Angels fans will have the chance to score a dream accessory in honor of outfielder, Mike Trout: a baseball hat with a stuffed fish leaping out of the front. Though it sounds too good to be true, the hat will be given away at this night game against the Seattle Mariners.
St. Louis Cardinals—1926 Championship Beer Stein (June 21)
Commemorate the first St. Louis Cardinals World Series win with this 1926 Championship Beer Stein. To get the stein, fans must be over 21, but the first 25,000 of legal drinking age on Friday, June 21, will snag the memorabilia. Budweiser Bash Friday coincides with the giveaway, and will feature music and prizes in Ford Plaza, while pitcher Edward Mujica will be signing autographs for 200 fans in the evening.
Cincinnati Reds—Bald Eagle Flight/Todd Frazier Bobblehead/Fireworks (July 3)
Celebrate the anniversary of America’s independence with the country’s favorite pastime at the Great American Ball Park. On Wednesday, July 3, a bald eagle from the local zoo will make a flight during the national anthem, and fireworks with a soundtrack will immediately follow the game. As an added bonus, the first 30,000 fans will also be taking home a Todd Frazier bobblehead.
Chicago Cubs—Dry Erase Marquee Fathead (July 7)
Unfortunately this giveaway only goes to children 13 and under, but feel free to set this up in a communal space so parents can use it too. The first 5,000 kids to the Sunday, July 7, game will receive a wall graphic of the Wrigley Field marquee that can be written on with dry erase markers.
Philadelphia Phillies—'90s Retro Night (Aug. 23)
Relive the best parts of the ‘90s for one night with the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday, Aug. 23. Phillies players will sport the maroon-striped uniforms from 1991, and the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks will don retro uniforms as well. On top of jamming to ‘90s tunes all night, fans under 14 will be the lucky owners of former Philly, John Kruk, in action-figure form, while adults over 15 will receive a retro Phillies print.
Tampa Bay Rays—Moore Cowbell (Aug. 24)
The Tampa Bay Rays show their sense of humor with this joke on a classic “Saturday Night Live” sketch that starred Will Ferrell and Christopher Walken. The first 10,000 fans will receive a “Moore Cowbell” in honor of pitcher Matt Moore on Saturday, Aug. 24. As you might have guessed, Tampa Bay has a fever…and the only prescription is “Moore cowbell.”
New York Yankees –Yogi Berra Bobblehead (Aug. 30)
Take home a lasting memory of one of the Yankees’ most beloved players, coaches, and managers with the Yogi Berra bobblehead. On a Friday, Aug. 30, night game against the Baltimore Orioles, the first 18,000 fans will receive one of these commemorative statues.
San Francisco Giants—Star Wars Day at AT&T Park (Sept. 8)
On Sunday, Sept. 8, the third annual Star Wars Day will bring hundreds of Lukes and Leias to AT&T Park. In the past two years, giveaways included a “Brian Wilson in Carbonite” statue and a baseball designed like the Death Star. This year, fans will be awarded a bobblehead version of catcher Buster Posey dressed like a Clone Trooper.
