Rockie's Jimenez pitches near shutout, offense continues surge

The Colorado Rockies got a complete game from Ubaldo Jimenez, and it would of been a shutout had Matt Kemp not homered in the top of the 9th inning as the Rockies beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 10-1 Tuesday night. Jimenez allowed just 4 hits, 2 walks and that one run while striking out 4 in his first career complete game.  His offense provided him with more than enough support as they shelled out 18 hits and 10 runs, with every batter having a hit and almost all of them with multiple hits. Ian Stewart had 4 runs batted and 3 hits on the night including his 4th home run of the year.  Other notable hitting performances were Jeff Baker who had 4 hits and Brad Hawpe had 3 hits of his own including his 16th home run of the year. The Rockies will look to keep the momentum going as they take on the Dodgers Wednesday in the series finale.
