Kathy's CareerFirst receiving recognition in 1996 for her role as Vickie Groener on the NBC sitcom Suddenly Susan where she starred opposite Brooke Shields for four years, Kathy Griffin has become a well known and self-proclaimed “D-List Celebrity”. She started her career in Los Angeles, performing with the improv troupe, The Groundlings before making appearances on various sitcoms including Seinfeld and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She did an HBO special in 1998 titled A Hot Cup of Talk. She has also done voice over work for shows such as The Simpsons and Dilbert. Her comedic style pokes fun at her low level in the Hollywood hierarchy of fame. She is a fan of reality shows, winning Celebrity Mole: Hawaii in 2003. Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List first aired in 2005 and continues to be very successful and airs on Bravo TV and won a 2007 Emmy award. She currently tours while doing the reality show.
