About Aerosmith

Although highly popular in the 1970s, infighting and substance abuse was threatening the bands success. Perry and Whitford left the group, and the band struggled to continue without replacements. In 1984, mostly due to the prompting of Perrys manager to return to the band, Aerosmith reformed. Perrys manager successfully helped the band end their bickering and to eventually overcome their addictions. The group has remained since.

Aerosmith has sold over 140 million albums worldwide, making them one of the best selling American rock bands. The band has charted twenty-six Top 40 hits, won four Grammy awards, and influenced countless bands in their wake. The bands loyal fans, known as the Blue Army, numbers in the millions and spans the last three generations.

Aerosmith began recording again on Armed Forces Day 2006. Tyler and Perry performed at the Boston Pops Orchestras annual July 4th concert, the first major performance after Tylers throat surgery this spring. The band kicks off the Route of All Evil Tour with Mötley Crüe this fall in preparation for the release of their new album, which is set for release in Spring of 2007
