At the end of January, legendary Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli released his 14th studio album, “Passione,” and now he’s bringing his beautiful voice to America on the 2013 Passione Tour. Bocelli will light up stages around the country starting on June 6 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colo., and from there, he’ll make stops at venues like the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Calif., on June 8 and the Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y., on June 13. After spending time overseas during the summer and fall, he’ll return to the U.S. on December 8 to play at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Ariz. The international superstar’s latest album is a collection of Mediterranean love songs that are sung in six languages, and feature incredible duets with fellow artists like Lopez, Nelly Furtado, and the late Edith Piaf.
Bocelli fans will be happy to know that famed producer David Foster, who produced Bocelli’s 2006 release, “Amor,” is back with the singer for “Passione.” Foster accompanies Bocelli on piano, Peruvian Ramon Stagnaro plays guitar, and a 63-piece orchestra provides the rhythm. “Passione” debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, which was Bocelli’s highest-charting album ever. The album also was released in Spanish, and made its way to the top of the Latin albums chart.
