Always one to please his fans, professional partier Andrew WK has announced upcoming dates for his 2013 Human Party Machine Solo Tour. The one-man venture will be the first of its kind for Andrew WK, who typically appears on stage surrounded by multiple guitarists and a massive drum set. The classically trained pianist will have time to show off his traditional skills, only appearing on stage with a microphone and a keyboard. The Andrew WK tour will debut on April 13 in Toledo, Ohio, and the singer will travel to seven cities, including Providence, R.I., and Hartford, Conn., before wrapping up the first leg of the tour on April 20 in Syracuse, N.Y., at The Lost Horizon. After a brief stint with a side project, Andrew WK’s solo act returns for a set at the Skate and Surf Festival in Freehold, N.J., on May 18. The singer will round out the tour in cities including St. Louis, Mo., Mobile, Ala., and Tampa, Fla., before fans can catch his final solo performance at Empire in Springfield, Va., on June 7.
Recently, Andrew WK made an announcement with the drummer of legendary punk group, The Ramones, confirming that he will join Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg on a 2013 world tour. On May 3, the group plays at the Santos Party House in New York City before heading to Europe. They return to the States Oct. 2 for a series of shows in Washington, D.C., Boston, and Chicago, before ending with their last stateside show of the year on Oct. 12 in Los Angeles.
