Concert News

2013 Animal Collective Tour Landing North America

Fans of psychedelic indie rock can rejoice in the recent news that Animal Collective has announced plans for a short but sweet tour of North America in support of their ninth studio album, “Centipede Hz.” The band is currently gracing stages across Australia, and after a short February hiatus they’ll venture back to North American to light up venues for a mere two weeks. The shows are set to kick off on March 7th at the House of Blues in Boston, Massachusetts; and from there the band will speed around the continent, hitting locations like Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, St. Louis, and Denver, before wrapping up at The Depot in Salt Lake City on March 23rd. Tickets for these shows go on sale on January 18th at 10 a.m. ET, so be sure to claim yours asap.

Joining Animal Collective on the tour will be co-headliner and fellow Domino Records label-mate, Dan Deacon. The electronic music composer is supporting the release of his latest album, “America”. After the Collective finish off their spring performances they’re set to headliner Boise’s Treefort Music Festival, which takes place from March 21st-24th.
