Arctic Monkeys Headed to U.S. in 2013
There aren’t many bands that have come to define British indie rock music in recent memory quite like Arctic Monkeys, and now that they’re set to head out around the world on their new 2013 tour, America is about to get a taste of what it means to rock out English style. The Grammy Award-nominated quartet announced that they will be making a brief, six-show run in the United States this summer that will begin with an appearance at the 2013 Sasquatch! Music Festival at The Gorge in George, Washington, on May 24th. In fact, all of the 2013 Arctic Monkeys tour dates for their American stint will take place in May, and the boys will be sticking mainly to the Midwestern part of the country.
In addition to the Sasquatch! Music Festival, the band will make appearances at Wilma Theatre in Missoula, Montana, on May 25th; Knitting Factory Concert House in Boise, Idaho, on May 26th; Ogden Theatre in Denver, Colorado on May 28th; Sunshine Theatre in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on May 29th; and the House Of Blues in Dallas, Texas, on May 31st. After that, the band will launch through a European stint that will last until the end of July. Hopefully, all of this touring means that the band will be announcing their new album very soon as well. 2013 Arctic Monkeys tickets go on sale this Friday, February 8th, so make sure to purchase yours as soon as possible.
