Aretha Franklin was born on March 25, in the year 1942, in Memphis, Tennessee to Barbara Siggers Franklin and a Baptist minister, Rev. C.L. Franklin. She is a pianist, songwriter and an American songster. Franklin is warmly known as "Sister Ree" amid her crazy fans and is known as “The Queen of Soul” by the music world. She is broadly admired for her expressive vocal approach, which is accompanied by an enormous and influential vocal range.
