Two of the best songwriters in the world will be teaming up to perform on July 16th and 21st at Chicago’s Wrigley Field. The concerts will be part of the pair’s "Face 2 Face" tour that started in 1994. This tour begins again in March 2009 and will continue on-and-off for at least the next two years. A member of both the Songwriters Hall of Fame (1992) and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (1999), Billy Joel has written some of the most memorable songs of the last several decades. Over the course of his career, he has won 6 Grammys and became the 6th best selling artist in the United States. Combining with him for these concerts will be Sir Elton John himself, as well as the Elton John Band. John has been listed by Billboard as #3 on their list of the top 100 artists ever. In addition to 29 highly praised studio albums, he has also written extensively for film and theater, including his music for The Lion King. Songs like "Candle in the Wind" and "Crocodile Rock" also show the wide range of styles that his music entails. When these two musicians perform together, it’s bound to be a memorable experience, and seeing such a great show at a beautiful location like Wrigley Field is an historic event that you will remember for years to come.
