Caribou is a music group started by Daniel Victor Snaith in the 2004. Snaith was born 1978 in Dundas, Ontario. Snaith is an electronic soundscape artist who grew up in Ontario, a province of Canada. His recent music record “Andorra” was considered one of the most celebrated records of last year. His previous record was with the stage name Manitoba, but he had changed this name to caribou, in 2004 due to threat of lawsuit by another musician, Handsome Dick who used this stage name. But it is worthy of mention that Dick has never released any music under the name Manitoba.
Snaith spent his childhood in Dundas, Ontario, where he studied mathematics at the University of Toronto. His father, Victor Snaith was a professor at the University of Sheffield. Daniel Snaith completed his Ph.D. in mathematics from Imperial College London in 2005. He usually performs with a live band when playing gigs. He is very skilled with electronic composition. Drums, Computer, Kit, Guitar, and Bass Synth are mostly use by Caribou music group for their plays.
His song Melody Day was nominated as one of the best videos on MTV2 Subterranean.
