Cat Power Background Information
On the 21 January, 1972, Charlyn ‘Chan' Marshall was born in Atlanta, USA. She lived in most of the Southern United States. Most of her childhood years involved traveling and not realizing that the constant traveling would fully equip her for future challenges of tours as a musician. Charlyn dropped out of high school and started performing with the stage name ‘Cat Power' in Atlanta; she was encouraged by many great musicians. In Atlanta, most of her shows were merely to support her friend's band and doing music to her then was just for leisure and an opportunity for her and her friends to misbehave.
