Clinic is a musical band made up of four very talented gentlemen. The band was originally formed by two men, Ade Blackburn and Hartley in 1997. They had split from their previous band Pure Morning. Two more members, Brain Campbell and Carl Turney later joined the band and together they released their first EP ‘L.C.P subeditors dictate our youth' on their own record label. Clinic is based in Liverpool and is famous for their indie rock style of music.
Clinic gained early recognition because of their unique way of using certain musical instruments in their music. In 2000 their debut album ‘'Internet Wrangler'' hit the market and the album was quite popular. ‘Walking with thee' and ‘Wynchester Cathedral' was released in 2002 and 2004 respectively and also. The group has toured several locations around the world since then. October 2006 saw the release of ‘'Visitations and ‘'Funf” in June 2007. Clinic has Ade Blackburn in charge of Keyboard and Vocals, Brian Campbell handles Bass, flute and vocals; Hartley takes charge of guitar and keyboards while Carl Turney handles drums, piano and vocals.
Clinic has a unique style of music which can be easily distinguished by the use of keyboards, the most common being the Mellotron. They are known for putting on surgical masks and costumes during their performances and photo shoot outs. They have six albums to their credit, ten singles and four Eps. The bans have also featured alongside several great musicians in tours and concerts but despite their popularity, the band is yet to achieve substantial commercial success.
