Annual Praise for Country Music

On an annual basis, Nashville Tennessee hosts and sells out every ticket to uplift country music every June of the current year. The event is held within a span of four days and aims to bring out the beauty and appreciation as well as talents of country music. This even is known as the CMA Music Festival.

In 1972, the said festival actually started off as a Fan Fair. Nowadays, it has evolved into a CMA Music Festival whose ticket holders always queue up just to ensure another seat in the event for the following year so they can get the chance to see over 200 country music artists and even get autographs signed by them. As a rough estimate on an annual basis, the CMA Music Festival draws in more than 191,000 country music fans worldwide.\

It is hosted by the Country Music Association and apart from country music performances, its main ticket is also to provide an interactive venue for country music aficionados—both musical artists and fans. There are autograph sessions being held throughout the festival and meet-and-greet events are also being sponsored to give the fans a chance to get to know their country music idols much better.

Although it is first and foremost themed with country music, the said festival also selects some other musical artists as guests though they may belong to a different musical genre. Different country music labels have differing tickets that they would serve as their acts for the show. Each musical artist ticket is grouped according to their record label which also serves as a point to determine who gets to play their gig first. Very strict time schedules are being followed for each ticket on stage although all the artists do their performance as an entirely voluntary work.

Each year, the half amount of the proceeds is turned into a charity ticket. On the other hand, the other half is used by the Country Music Association to make the necessary developments and advancement measures in support of country music worldwide.

In 2004, the network ABC has decided to bring the CMA Music Festival into the television scene by broadcasting the event. Their broadcast ran for two hours and was known as “Country’s Night to Rock.” It was able to bring in a grand ticket audience totaling to approximately 9 million during the time that it was aired. Thus, the festival is not only a ticket sell-out but also a much awaited event on television.
