Crosby, Stills & Nash is also called Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, when including occasional member Neil Young. The folk rock group is known for their great vocal harmonies and activist politics. The band has also a strong association with the segment of ‘60s counterculture that is known as the Woodstock Nation.
Looking Forward, released on Reprise Records, was much better received than the previous Live It Up and After The Storm. The band’ tours in 2000 and 2002 became major money-makers for Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997; and Crosby was inducted as a member of the Byrds, and Stephen Stills as a member of Buffalo Springfield. Young was awarded for his solo work and for Buffalo Springfield.
Several compilations of the band’s configurations have been released over the years, the box set being the most comprehensive. The record entitled So Far has been the most commercially successful among them. Individual retrospective sets were slated for release from Stills and Nash. The 2007 Crosby's box titled "Voyage" chronicled the musician’s work with various groups and as a solo performer.
The record Greatest Hits released in 2005 is a Crosby, Stills & Nash compilation released by Rhino Records. The compilation was dedicated to Cass Elliot. It debuted on the Billboard 200 in April 2005 at number 24 with sales of over thirty thousand copies. The album spent 8 weeks on the chart.
In 2006, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young went on their "Freedom of Speech" tour initiated in support of Young's new record Living with War. The setlists included the bulk of the new album, some material from Stephen Stills' long delayed solo record Man Alive!, and new material from Crosby and Nash.
