The summer shows haven’t yet been announced, but Dave Matthews Band fans in four states will have some opportunities in the next couple months to catch a live performance from the quintessential jam band. Highlighting the spring slate will be an April 28 appearance at the 2013 New Orleans Jazz Festival, as Dave Matthews Band has been confirmed as one of the many A-list acts, including Frank Ocean, Billy Joel, Fleetwood Mac, and John Mayer, scheduled to perform at the highly anticipated event. Additionally, DMB has booked 2013 dates at YUKON KORNELIUS at Okemo Mountain Resort in Ludlow, Vt., on March 16 with opening act, O.A.R., followed by shows at Oak Mountain Amphitheatre in Birmingham, Ala., on April 6, and at the Snowden Grove Amphitheatre in Southaven, Miss., on April 27.

In support of their eighth studio album, “Away From the World,” the tireless foursome known as the Dave Matthews Band is going back on the road to the delight of their insatiable fans in the Eastern United States and Canada. The band announced a 14-date run that kicks off Nov. 30^th in East Rutherford, N.J.’s IZOD Center, and it’s set to include what’s sure to be two high-octane shows in their hometown Charlottesville, Virginia. After stops in the East Coast, Midwest, and Canada, the short tour will come to a close on December 22 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pa. Dave Matthews Band 2012 Winter Tour tickets go on sale on Friday, Oct. 19th at 10 a.m., while tickets for Brooklyn, Charlottesville, and East Rutherford will be available Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. ET, so be sure to find great seats here at Vivid Seats. 

The band’s release of an updated video for the album’s first single, “Mercy,” was recently released in honor of National Voter Registration Day and has fans around the country pumped to see the legends live on stage. “Away From the World” made history for DMB by debuting at the top of the Billboard 200, making the band the first group to have six consecutive studio albums debut at number one on the charts. Opening act Jimmy Cliff will support frontman Dave Matthews, drummer Carter Beauford, violinist Boyd Tinsley, and bassist Stefan Lessard as they make their rounds through the country, and no one would be surprised at a Tim Reynolds sighting. Riding the wave of a new hit album, the upcoming shows are sure to be electric.

Dave Matthews Band will be back doing what they do best this year. DMB will be filling outdoor amphitheatres with enthusiastic concert goers this spring and summer as the band hits the road for the first time in over a year. After taking a hiatus from touring last year, the jam-happy outfit is rested and ready for a big 2012. Dave Matthews Band tickets are scheduled to go on sale to the general public on March 9th. Dave Matthews, Boyd Tinsley, Stefan Lessard, and Carter Beauford are slated to play high-profile shows at Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, AL, Alpine Valley in East Troy, WI, and The Gorge in George, WA. Fans can expect to hear a few new songs during the tour as the band is currently in the studio with producer Steve Lillywhite.
