Born on November 20, 1975 in Phoenix, Arizona State, Dierks Bentley is a well-known country singer. After graduating from the Lawrenceville preparatory School, situated in New Jersey, Bentley moved to Nashville, Tennessee. He was nineteen years old when he started to attend Vanderbilt University. Dierks had a job at The Nashville Network (which is now called Spike TV); he researched the footage of old country music performances. 2003 saw the appearing of Bentley’s debut album, released by Capitol Nashville.
The album contained his first single, which turned out to be a success. "What Was I Thinkin'" reached #1 on the American charts. The most famous singer’s songs, released recently, include "Settle for a Slowdown", "Come a Little Closer", and "Every Mile a Memory."
Bentley's country music is believed to be even more traditional than the musical style of many of contemporary country performers. It is typically pierced with the traditional themes, like the forbidden love, cheating, drinking, and others. Probably, the most famous Bentley’s single is "Lot Of Leavin' Left To Do". It reminds of Waylon Jennings' style.
In 2005, Dierks Bentley was inducted in the Grand Ole Opry and became its youngest member. The same year Dierks received the Horizon Award at CMA Awards. The singer collaborated with the Del McCoury Band, and together they wrote two songs "Train Travelin'" and "Good Man Like Me". From time to time, Bentley performs with Cross Canadian Ragweed. Dierks is a frequent guest on the Opie and Anthony show.
Dierks Bentley married to Cassidy Black, his high school sweetheart. At the end of December 2005, they escaped to Mexico. At the beginning of 2006, he announced the release of Live And Dangerous. In October, Bentley’s new album Long Trip Alone" was released, the album’s hit "Every Mile a Memory" became a number one on the charts.
At the beginning of 2007, Dierks Bentley started his tour across Canada and then the United States. In March 2007, the singer will release his first-ever live concert DVD, which is called "Live and Loud at the Fillmore". It was shot at Denver's Fillmore Auditorium in front of the numerous crowd in the middle of 2006.
In all, Dierks Bentley has released four albums: “Don’t Leave Me In Love” (2001), “Dierks Bentley” (2003), “Modern Day Drifter” (2005), and “Long Tip Alone” (2006). The singles which hit the charts and became #1 include “What Was I Thinkin”, “Come A Little Closer”, “Settle for A Slowdown”, and “Every Mile A Memory”.
