About The Dixie Chicks

The Dixie Chicks wrote and co-wrote about half of the songs on the two records Wide Open Spaces and Fly which consisted of a mixture of bluegrass and mainstream country sounds. This appealed to a wide range of Dixie Chick tickets and record buyers. They went on to release albums including Home and Top of the World Tour: Live and Taking the Long Way. A Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for Top of the World was won among many other awards in their still ongoing career including four other Grammy Awards, a Billboard Award and more.

The Dixie Chicks 2006 tour began July 21st in Detroit and goes through and follow through to September 23rd in Omaha.
