Aside from her work as a solo artist and bandleader, she is also a songwriter and duet partner. Emmylou Harris has worked with many big-name artists. In 2004, for instance, Emmylou was leading the Sweet Harmony Traveling Revue tour together with David Rawlings, Buddy Miller, Gillian Welch, and Patty Griffin.
The following year, Emmylou Harris was working together with Conor Oberst on Bright Eyes' release, I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning. Then the musician joined Elvis Costello during several days of his tour across the United States.
