Etta James continued to release albums through the ’60s and ‘70s (including one of her best albums Deep In the Night by Atlantic Records). Despite a dry period during the beginning of the ‘80s, Etta James got back and began recording music again. In 1988, she released Seven Year Itch. It showed more soul side of the musician. Into the ‘90s, Etta James continued to record and sing. Her new records varied in styles and music genres. In 1998, Etta released a Christmas album An Etta James Christmas. She was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2001. Her contribution to the genre was recognized by the Rockabilly Hall of Fame as well. In 2003, the singer received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Etta James is still touring. Her new album was released in 2006 that is called All the Way.
