Evanescence Concert Tour Information

Evanescence is an American alternative rock band that was founded Arkansas in 1998 by singer Amy Lee and former guitarist Ben Moody. The band released their first album Fallen in 2003. It was tremendous success, for the album sold more than 14 million copies worldwide and contributed to the band’s winning two Grammy Awards. Three years later, in 2006, Evanescence recorded their second album The Open Door, which debuted at the top of the Billboard charts selling more than 447,000 copies in its first week and gained platinum status in just over a month. Total, The Open Door sales rise up to 2 million copies in the U.S., and more than 4 million copies worldwide.

At the present moment Evanescence consists of Amy Lee (vocals, piano), Terry Balsamo (guitar), Tim McCord (bass), Troy McLawhorn (guitar) and Will Hunt (drums), with each member equally contributing to the splendor of the lyrics and beauty of the melodies. Amy Lee’s vocal is more than perfect – it enchants by unearthly beauty.

This fall, Evanescence kicked off a North American tour, including 3 arena shows in Mexico. The tour began October 23rd in Miami and will finish on or about December 10th. On the tour, Evanescence is accompanied by Australian modern rock trio Sick Puppies and electronic rock act Julien-K instead of Will Hunt on drums and Troy McLawhorn on guitar.
