Every year, thousands gather for the food, livestock, and entertainment that make the Minnesota State Fair such a popular destination, and in 2014, the Grandstand concert schedule will be even more eagerly anticipated with the addition of Fall Out Boy on August 28. Make sure you're ready to attend by reading through the Minnesota State Fair guide below.

Minnesota State Fair Seating Information

For the grandstand at Minnesota State Fair, the stage is set up with the plaza levels immediately in front of the stage (L, LC, C, RC, and R). On occasion, the plaza level seats may be removed to make way for a general admission section, which is typically standing room only.

Directly behind Plaza RC there may be seats available in a small riser section. Immediately following is a general patio area, which features mezzanines A, B, L, and M in line on either side. The final area is the mainstand, which offers sections A-N.

Minnesota State Fair General Information

Admission for the fair is typically a separate fee from admission to concerts at the grandstand. Guests cannot bring any type of cooler or umbrella into the venue. All concerts will take place rain or shine.

Minnesota State Fair Parking Information

Paid parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis in lots connected to the fairgrounds. For the lots closest to the grandstand concert venue, guests should enter through Gates 0 or 15.

A handful of free shuttles, park and ride options, as well as metro transportation services are all available for fair attendees.

Minnesota State Fair Gate Times

The fairground gates generally open at 6 AM each day, while gates to the concert area typically won't open until one hour prior to the start of the performance.

Minnesota State Fair Accessibility

The state fair offers accessible services throughout the grounds, including wheelchair and electric scooter rentals, sign language interpreters, and assisted listening devices. Several of the parking lots on the fairgrounds offer accessible parking, but there are also options for accessible park and rides around the area or metro transit. For seating at the grandstand, accessible options are available as well.
