The 12th installment of FloydFest is set to invade the Blue Ridge Mountains this summer and is expected to be bigger and better than ever, as the annual world music and arts festival continues to pick up steam year after year. Since its inception in 2002, each edition has had a theme, and this year’s will be no different, as FloydFest 12 has been dubbed, “Rise & Shine.” Of the many artists scheduled to hit Floyd, Va., from July 25-28, the main acts include Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros, The Lumineers, John Butler Trio, and Citizen Cope.
Four-day passes are on sale now, so head to the Vivid Seats marketplace for 2013 FloydFest tickets. The seven-stage, four-day event has become known as one of the top festivals to attend each summer, as it combines a vast assortment of genres, in addition to local arts and crafts showcases, dance workshops, poetry readings, storytelling, and more. Past notable performers to take the stage at FloydFest include Ani DiFranco, The Avett Brothers, Blues Traveler, and Matisyahu, just to name a few.
