The 11th annual Forecastle Festival is set to take over Waterfront Park in Louisville, Ky., this summer and those who make the trip are in for a mesmerizing lineup of performers. From July 12–14, the event will host this year’s headliners, which includes the GRAMMY-winning The Black Keys, The String Cheese Incident, and The Avett Brothers, and for three lively days, the groups will be joined by over 40 electrifying acts in one of America’s finest cities. Already heralded for its quality of vibrant musicians, national art collectives, and focused social activism, the Forecastle Festival is quickly becoming one of the premier music festivals in the country.
As if the headliners weren’t enough, fans also will be to check out performances by The Flaming Lips, Alabama Shakes, Grace Potter and The Nocturnals, Animal Collective, Old Crow Medicine Show, Young The Giant, Big Boi, Matt and Kim, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Purity Ring, The Joy Formidable, and more. Kentucky’s famous culinary and bourbon heritage will be on full display, especially at the Bourbon Lodge, where festival goers can taste Louisville’s finest whiskeys. Also, the festival will host special guest speakers, environmental workshops, art exhibitions, and late night shows that will take place on the historic Belle of Louisville steamboat and at other downtown Louisville locations. Forecastle Festival tickets for all three days are available now at Vivid Seats, while single-day and late night show tickets will be released in April.
