Foreigner Background Information

Foreigner is one of the most famous chart –topping rock band group which has American as well as British members and hence the name foreigners. This rock band was formed in New York in 1976 by the union of a couple of guitarists called Ian Mc Donald and Mick Jones who teamed up with singer Lou Gramm, keyboardist Alan Greenwood, drummer Dennis Eliot and bass player Ed Gagliardi. Lou Gramm was the lead artist as well as the co-writer for the Foreigner band group and his singing is considered to be a class of its own even today. Lou Gramm was the prominent vocal artist for the Foreigner group for over 26 years.

Their debut album “foreigner” stayed in the top twenty for more than a year and sold more than 50 million albums world wide. The hit songs of the album include “Feels like the first time”, “Long long way from home and “Cold as ice”. Foreigners’ second and third albums were Double vision and Head Games respectively.

The line up of the band at present includes Mike Jones, Kelly Hansen, Thom Gimbel, Jeff Jacobs, Jeff Pilson and Jason Bonham. The most recent album that the Foreigners have brought out is the Extended Versions, which features all the new group members playing the classic hits of the foreigner album collections that are recorded as a live album. The hard hitting rock band has performed in various concerts and shows all over the U.S and U.K. As this rock band has wide fan following, the tickets for the live performances and concerts are in great demand. The newer albums of Foreigner are also gaining popularity the world over and all through the years the band has successfully maintained its class and quality of music.
