G. Love & Special Sauce was formed in 1992, is an alternative hip-hop band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. All three are famous for their exclusive, "laid back" and "sloppy" blues sound that include the production/sound of classic R&B as well as rap performers similar to Beastie Boys. Initially a twosome, in 1994, they released their self titled album on Okeh/Epic, a supplementary of Sony Music.
In the year 1995, their follow up album, Coast to Coast Motel was released. The band gave up their disparities by October 1997 and released their 3rd album, Yeah, It's That Easy, which with their work, showcased their cooperation with some other groups and musicians, comprising All Fellas Band, King's Court, Philly Cartel and Dr. John. They even performed as house group for humor Central's show "Turn Ben Stein On", which went from 1999-2001.
On August 1, 2006 the band's 7th studio album, "Lemonade" was released. The album features a range of cooperation with performers comprising Jack Johnson, Marc Broussard, Donavon Frankenreiter, Ben Harper, Tristan Prettyman, Blackalicious and others. The first solo was known as 'Hot Cookin"," G. Love & Special Sauce will release Superhero Brother on 24 June 2008, featuring tracks as "Wiggle Worm", "Peace, Love and Happiness", "Communication", "Who's got the Weed", as well as the title track.
