Garth Brooks may have been in the country music scene only in the recent years, but he was such a ticket for change that he shook the world of country music and gave it a new market appeal.

Country music is well known for its usual country life ticket. It usually talks of how simple country life is, with the environment around and its natural beauty. It also takes inspiration on the simplest things like being with friends, being rowdy on bars, appreciating the beauty of spring and summer, the pain of being separated from a loved one, to name a few. It is usually laced with music drawing much support from harmonica and even accordion rhythm. Heavy acoustic guitar is also a major source of music.

But when Garth Brooks finally entered his own ticket of country music, he introduced the genre into a lot more audience and gave it some mass appeal. He infused some post-folk rock sensibilities into his sound and gave it a post-Merle Haggard country taste. Thus, his brand new country music ticket earned him the first ever multi-platinum award which seemed impossible for country musicians to achieve before Garth Brook’s time. This was solidified by the fact that his album, “Ropin’ the Wind” reached the top spot of the pop charts when it debuted.

Because of Garth Brook, country music eventually found its way into the mainstream scene. From then on, country music was also given ticket into the dominated pop music world by contemporary pop artists like threading the successes of Madonna and Michael Jackson.

Garth Brooks began his ticket to music by singing at local clubs found in Oklahoma. He is also the son of Colleen Carroll Brooks who is also a country music singer during her time. However, Garth was more into athletics than he was into music during his childhood years although he sang every once in awhile in family events.

Upon graduating from college with a degree in advertising, Garth Brooks decided to try his career ticket into the field of music. However, his first few ventures led him to many disappointments.

Eventually, his first ever break into the recording scene was through Capitol Records. An executive from the said label saw Garth’s performance at some local club and was immediately impressed. This was the same executive who is responsible for convincing Capitol Records to sign up Garth brooks for a record deal.
