Girlyman - Road Warriors and fan favorites
American folk-rock band members include Ty Greenstein (on vocals, guitar, mandolin, and percussion), Nate Borofsky (on vocals, baritone guitar, and bass guitar), and Doris Muramatsu (on vocals, acoustic guitar, mandolin, and banjo).
The band’s self-released debut album, entitled Remember Who I Am, sold about five thousand copies before it was re-released by Daemon Records, which is the independent record label run by Amy Ray.
Before the three members of Girlyman came together, Borofsky was an award-winning singer-songwriter; and Doris and Ty were the award-winning duo The Garden Verge.

Co-produced with Bob Harris, the band’s recent record Joyful Sign features Girlyman’s folk, pop, and bluegrass sound but with a sense of energy and spirit that the band members have become known for live. The record is a showcase for memorable compositions that are graced by the band’s signature three-part harmonies.
After 6 years of living and performing together, the chemistry between the three members has never been more evident. The three members are all classically trained, trade off songwriting duties and a wide range of musical instruments that include acoustic guitar, baritone guitar, banjo, djembe, and mandolin.
After releasing two albums (Little Star Remember and Who I Am) on Amy Ray’s Daemon Records, the band self-released their latest offering.
Since touring with the Indigo Girls, the band has become a national headlining act in its own right. Girlyman continues to sell out major folk venues across the United States, playing on various radio shows, and earning loyal following that no record label can manufacture. Girlyman’s growing legions of their fans very often drive hundreds of miles to follow their favorite band from show to show.
Always the road warriors, the band is hitting the highways in support of their new record Joyful Sign that was released nationally in April 2007.
