Considering the pride of the Big Apple, it’s no surprise that New York City would up the ante to join the ranks of other eclectic regional music festivals like Coachella, Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza, and Bonaroo. This year, the third annual Governors Ball Music Festival is doing it NYC Style, as the event is joining the big boys by expanding from one day to three days. Once again, the Empire State's grand spectacle has assembled a spectacular lineup that features over 60 incredible acts, including headliners Kings Of Leon and Kanye West. It’s all set to go down from June 7th to the 9th at Randall’s Island in New York City, and a limited number of early bird, three-day tickets go on sale this Friday, January 25th at 12 p.m. EST.
Though West and Kings Of Leon look to be the headliners two of the nights, there is still one more big name yet to be announced, and already the lineup has a jaw-dropping blend of indie rock, hip hop, dance, pop and electronica musicians. Some artists are Pretty Lights, Nas, The Avett Brothers, The xx, Feist, Bloc Party, Crystal Castles, Grizzly Bear, Kendrick Lamar, Beach House, Animal Collective, Cut Copy, Thievery Corporation, The Lumineers, Erykah Badu, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Local Natives, Death From Above 1979, Young The Giant, Beirut, Of Monsters And Men, and Azealia Bank. Make sure to claim your 2013 Governor’s Ball tickets now to witness this incredible lineup live.
