Grace Potter and the Nocturnals are taking their finely tuned folk rock tunes to the road yet again in support of their newest album release, “The Lion The Beast The Beat,” which dropped in June 2012. The aptly named Roar Tour has been gaining speed rapidly, and you can catch the Grace Potter and the Nocturnals tour when it returns to the road for the summer stint on May 31 at the Tower Amphitheater in Austin, Texas. They’ll travel through the remainder of the summer, with stops at sites such as the Fox Theater in Pomona, Calif. (June 7), the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo. (June 15), two shows at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Ore. (June 22-23), and Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wis. (July 5-6). While Grace Potter and the Nocturnals has gained recognition as a group, individually, Grace Potter has been making a name amongst other artists for her innate singing abilities. Potter has been known for teaming up with artists like Gregory Douglass, Gov’t Mule, and on multiple occasions, country staple, Kenny Chesney. For the band’s latest release, they teamed up with The Black Keys’ GRAMMY-winning musician and producer, Dan Auerbach, who helped write “Never Go Back,” Loneliest Soul,” and “Runaway.”
