Folk musician Greg Brown has recorded over 2 dozen albums. One of his most successful albums entitled One Big Town earned Greg Brown three and a half stars in Rolling Stone, chart-topping status in AAA as well as The Gavin Report's Americana rankings.
The musician has an established history; he allowed his music to be used to raise funds and awareness for social and environmental causes. His Solid Heart album and accompanying video were recorded during a 2-night benefit for In Harmony, which is an organization that supports foster children and their families.
The record also features Kate MacKenzie and Dave Carter and Tracy Grammer.

The following year, Going Driftless: An Artist’s Tribute to Greg Brown, with selections by a number of female singers saw proceeds from its sale go to benefit The Breast Cancer Fund. The performers included Gillian Welch, Ani DiFranco, Shawn Colvin, and Brown's three daughters. Two years ago, a live benefit for Yellow Dog Watershed Preserve was recorded and released this year as Yellow Dog.
Greg Brown is known for his personal and intimate performances, his most revealing recordings are live. In addition to One Night and some other benefit records, The Live One, Live at the Black Sheep, In the Hills of California: Live from the Kate Wolf Music Festival 1997-2003, and 2007's Live from the Big Top, bring a glimpse of the power of the musician’s live shows. In 2007, Brown was nominated for a Folk Alliance Award in the category of Contemporary Artist of the Year.
Greg’s songwriting has been praised by many, and his great songs have been performed by many talented singers, like Carlos Santana, Willie Nelson, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Michael Johnson, Shawn Colvin, Ani DiFranco, and Joan Baez.
