Three years later, Gretchen signed with Epic Records and recorded Here for the Party within one year. Her first single, titled "Redneck Woman," was released in 2004.It quickly became a smash hit and reached the top of the Hot Country Songs charts and no. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100. Due to the success of the song, Here for the Party was released earlier than it had been planned, on May 11, 2004. It debuted at no. one on the Billboard country chart.

It also reached no. 2 on the Billboard 200 and Billboard Internet album sales charts. Gretchen Wilson built on the success on her new album by singing as support artist for Brooks & Dunn and Montgomery Gentry.

The second single entitled I Don't Feel Like Loving You Today peaked at no. 22. The 3rd and the 4th singles were Politically Uncorrect and California Girls. They peaked respectively at no. 23 and no. 25 on the Country charts.

At the end of February 2006, Gretchen Wilson appeared on Kid Rock and The Twisted Brown Trucker Band's "Live" Trucker. The singer performed "Picture" that was recorded at Detroit's Cobo Hall on March 3, 2004.

In late 2006, the performer released her new single entitled Come To Bed. The song was produced by John Rich. who sings the background vocals. Currently, the singer is recording a new album that will be released in 2007.
