Grizzly Bear Announces 2013 North American Tour
Indie music fanatics can rejoice with the news that Grizzly Bear has announced another leg of North American tour dates for 2013. The Brooklyn-based psychedelic quartet is setting out in honor of their fourth, and latest, studio album, “Shields,” which was released on September 18th last year. The band is set to hit North American venues starting on March 30th at Carnegie Music Hall in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Then they’ll hit up locations like the Palladium Ballroom in Dallas, TX, on April 6th; Stubbs in Austin, TX, on April 8th; and Houston’s House of Blues on April 9th. The tour finale will be a two-day stint at the Henry Miller Library in Big Sur, CA, on April 15th and 16th. Tickets for the shows are set to go on sale this Friday, January 25th at 10am.
Upon its release, “Shields” reached number seven on the Billboard 200 chart and number seventeen on the UK Albums Chart. The album's third single, 'Speak In Rounds,' is due for release on March 18th, right before their American shows. Grizzly Bear fans should take note that the current schedule has the band on the West Coast right around the time that the Coachella Music Festival kicks off in Indio, CA, so look for an appearance there.
