Harley Davidson is a US based company. The company manufactures motorcycles and is having its base in Milwaukee. It is famous for making highway motorcycles which are designed specially to cruise on highways. Normally these bikes are over 750cc. The exhaust note and the design of the Harley are very distinct and attractive. It is this bike which has prompted the manufacture of many chopper style designs.
The company was founded in 1903. The main founders were William Harley, Walter Davidson, Arthur Davidson and William Davidson.

In 1983 Harley Owners group was also formed and this was due to the increase in the fame and demand of the Harley motorbikes. The company also supplies motorcycle fleets to the US police forces. Its success is evident from the fact that the company had revenue of $8.8 billion in 2008.
