Incubus Tickets

Incubus is an alternative rock band, consisting of five musicians from Calabasas, California. The group has been rather successful during the fifteen years of the existence, especially after the release of the singles "Drive" and "Wish You Were Here", which made them familiar in modern musical life. In 2001, Incubus released a multi-platinum album "Morning View".

The vocalist of the band Brandon Boyd, the guitarist Mike Einziger, and the drummer Jose Pasillas got acquainted in elementary school and grew together. In their Calabasas High School, they organized a band with the bassist Alex Katunich at the age of 15. The new group had to have a new name, which was eventually chosen while scanning through word entries in a thesaurus. Mike found the word "incubus" and it was decided to take it as the bands name. The word is the name of a mythological demon, which rapes sleeping women.

The new band began writing music and often played for the audiences, ranging from big parties to small clubs. In the 11th grade, Mike was lucky to find a $100 bill on the ground. With the help of that small sum the band could perform their first "Pay to Play" event in Hollywood at the Roxy. They also participated in a number of shows at several strip clubs, for example, the Whiskey and the Troubadour. To their amazement, quite many of these shows were sold out.

In 1993, the Incubus band got acquainted with Jim Wirt, a local producer and musician. The producer proposed to record demo singles for the band when the studio was free, and that is how the band recorded their first funk album Fungus Amongus.

Sadly, because of lack of label interest, the band came out with their first full length album under their own label, while Einziger paid for the first 1,000 CDs.

Incubus have just released their most recent musical album "Light Grenades" on the 28th of November 2006. Right after the release, the disc reached the top of the charts across the United States because of the popularity of the first single "Anna-Molly" for the first time in the history of the group. The album was produced by the past producer Brendan O'Brien. It is anticipated, that the album might become Platinum with their next single under the name "Dig:.

In November 2006 the band Incubus participated in two exclusive European shows in Berlin and London. The team will be making a tour around the States in support of the album in January and February 2007.
